Moving up from Youth A category, and joining the Admiral Liv AWOL team as a Junior is former Hillingdon Slipstreamer, Zoe Brookes.
Starting her cycling career quite recently in 2015, Zoe has seen a lot of success at both U14 and U16 level. Her most notable successes have been the Prudential Ride London Youth Grand Prix in 2016, where she was just pipped for a podium spot, finishing 4th overall, and this year she performed well at the Isle of Man Nationals with a 15th place overall and 4th in the Prologue, as well as 14th in the Nationals at Redbridge. Unfortunately, Zoe was brought down in the second stage of the North West Tour this year, fracturing and dislocating her elbow, which affected the rest of her road season. But she has mended, and is back on the bike racing.
Zoe also races on track, and has qualified for the Youth National Omnium 3 years in a row, and has now been selected to ride in the Future Stars event at the Revolution Series through the winter. Admiral Liv AWOL will give her the chance to build on both road and track results, alongside former Hillingdon club mates Elizabeth Marvelly and Savannah Hewson.
This will be Zoe’s first year as a Junior, and she will surely benefit in the team environment, to help move her cycling career forward. When asked how she felt about being invited to join Admiral Liv AWOL, Zoe said, “I’m really looking forward to being part of such a supportive and successful team, and being able to learn from the experience of the older riders.”
Zoe’s previous club was: Hillingdon Slipstreamers.
She will be riding on Road and Track for Admiral Liv AWOL.
